Brown Fox Sedge is a tough, upright sedge that thrives in wet soils. Its dense, bristly seed heads provide visual texture and wildlife value. It is ideal for rain gardens, bioswales, and low areas. This adaptable plant tolerates seasonal flooding.
Our selection of native plants in 50-plug flats is available by pre-order only from March 1 to May 15, 2026, and will not be sold at the plant sale. Flats are provided by Pizzo Native Plant Nursery and feature pesticide-free, local-ecotype native plants.
All pre-orders must be picked up at the Sag Moraine Native Plant Sale on Saturday, June 6, 2026, between 9:00 am and 2:00 pm CT at Moraine Valley Community College (9000 W College Pkwy, Parking Lot D3, Palos Hills, IL 60465).
All sales are final and non-refundable.
