Purple Prairie Clover produces slender spikes of vivid purple flowers in summer. As a nitrogen-fixing plant, it enriches the soil while supporting pollinators. It thrives in sunny, dry prairie conditions. Its airy structure adds movement to garden plantings.
Our selection of native plants in 50-plug flats is available by pre-order only from March 1 to May 15, 2026, and will not be sold at the plant sale. Flats are provided by Pizzo Native Plant Nursery and feature pesticide-free, local-ecotype native plants.
All pre-orders must be picked up at the Sag Moraine Native Plant Sale on Saturday, June 6, 2026, between 9:00 am and 2:00 pm CT at Moraine Valley Community College (9000 W College Pkwy, Parking Lot D3, Palos Hills, IL 60465).
All sales are final and non-refundable.
