Smooth Hydrangea is a native shrub known for its large, rounded clusters of white flowers in summer. Its bold foliage and reliable blooms make it a favorite for part-shade gardens. It adapts well to a variety of soils and benefits from occasional pruning. Pollinators visit the flowers, and the plant adds structure to woodland landscapes.
Our selection of native shrubs and trees are available by pre-order only from March 1 to May 15, 2026, and will not be sold at the plant sale. All native shrubs and trees are provided by Midwest Groundcovers Nursery.
Orders must be picked up at the Sag Moraine Native Plant Sale on Saturday, June 6th, between 9 AM and 2 PM CT at Moraine Valley Community College (9000 W College Pkwy, Parking Lot D3, Palos Hills, IL 60465).
All sales are final and non-refundable.
