Wild Petunia is a compact prairie perennial with soft lavender, trumpet-shaped flowers in early to mid-summer. Though each bloom lasts only a day, the plant produces many over an extended period. It tolerates dry soils and full sun with ease. Native bees frequently visit its open blooms.
Our selection of native plants in 38-plug flats is available by pre-order only from March 1 to May 15, 2026, and will not be sold at the plant sale. Flats are provided by Midwest Groundcovers through their Natural Garden Natives line and feature pesticide-free, local-ecotype native plants.
All pre-orders must be picked up at the Sag Moraine Native Plant Sale on Saturday, June 6, 2026, between 9:00 am and 2:00 pm CT at Moraine Valley Community College (9000 W College Pkwy, Parking Lot D3, Palos Hills, IL 60465).
All sales are final and non-refundable.
