I have been planting native plants almost exclusively in my very small suburban yards for nearly 30 years, and I learn something new every single year. While I knew mostly shade plants prior to a couple of years ago, loss of aging trees in the neighborhood have changed my current micro climate and now I need to learn more about sun loving native plants. These photos show an area of part shade. Visitors include monarchs, bees, hummingbird moths, and when the flowers are spent, birds love the seeds.
