Christopher Evans from the University of Illinois Extension will join Sag Moraine on Wednesday, November 3, 2021 at 7pm CT to present The Green Pathway to Invasion. In this free webinar Chris will discuss the issues surrounding the use of ornamental invasive plants and the benefits of using native species for landscaping.
Chris Evans is an Extension Forestry and Research Specialist with the University of Illinois, where he also serves as the Interim State Coordinator of the Illinois Master Naturalist Program. Chris specializes in forest management, forest health, invasive species, and agroforestry. He has over 20 years of experience working in natural resources education across the eastern and midwestern United States. Chris is currently the president of the southern chapter of the Illinois Native Plant Society, the chair of the Technical Advisory Committee for the Illinois Forestry Association, and is on the board of the Illinois Invasive Species Council and the Midwest Invasive Plant Network.
